    Foodbank

Foodbank | Feed Australians in Crisis

    $1 PROVIDES TWO MEALS

At some point each year, over 4 million Australians experience the anguish and despair of not knowing where the next meal is coming from, for themselves and their families. Foodbank restores hope by giving meals to people who are struggling. We can turn every $1 raised into two meals; for the elderly, for women escaping domestic violence to vulnerable children, asylum-seekers and remote indigenous communities. Foodbank source and rescue food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers and retailers, distributing to front line charities around the country, providing to individuals and families in need. Foodbank supports children through school breakfast programs nationally, and play a key role in times of community emergencies and disasters. They provide essential supplies to support emergency services and first responders as well as ongoing assistance to affected communities.

    Greening Australia

    Greening Australia |Restore the Land

$50 PLANTS ENOUGH NATIVE TREES AND SHRUBS TO STORE ONE TONNE OF CARBON DIOXIDE

Greening Australia has been restoring and preserving Australia's unique landscapes for over 37 years, concentrating on Australia's most significant environmental challenges. Their mission is to protect and restore landscapes at scale, through collaborative, science-based and innovative conservation programs. Some of the projects they're focused on include saving the Great Barrier Reef, tackling climate change, reversing the decline of our threatened species and supporting our Traditional Owners aspirations for restoring country, creating sustainable cities for people and wildlife, and supporting regenerative agriculture and forestry systems. The 'Restoring the Land' project aims to restore 330,000 hectares of native trees across Australia by 2030.

Drawing on the expert input of Traditional Owners, scientists and local land managers, Greening Australia will plant 500 million trees and shrubs to store carbon, create quality habitat for native wildlife, and revive degraded farmland. These 500 million trees and shrubs will absorb over 1.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year by 2030, and reduce atmospheric carbon pollution. This project is one of the world's largest and most ambitious ecological restoration programs. Greening Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the places in which we work and honours the profound cultural, social, environmental, spiritual and economic connection they share with their lands and waters.

    Australian Childhood Foundation

Australian Childhood Foundation | Support a Child to Recover

$50 HELPS PROVIDE ONE-ON-ONE SPECIALISED THERAPEUTIC COUNSELLING FOR A CHILD WHO HAS EXPERIENCED FAMILY VIOLENCE

Every night in Australia, 46,000 children can't sleep in their bed at home because they're at risk of being abused or neglected. The Australian Childhood Foundation is a leading organisation, supporting children to recover from the trauma of abuse, neglect and family violence. The Foundation provides specialist support to help children heal and feel safe while educating and empowering communities to safeguard children from harm. $50 helps provide one-on-one specialised therapeutic counselling for a child who has experienced family violence. Specialist support during one-on-one counselling sessions serves so children can understand the abuse was not their fault, and that they're worthy of love. Holding children in healthy, stable relationships, they come to trust their connection with caring people as a source of nurturing and comfort, not hurt and betrayal.
